Just found an interesting website, image searched Google for shelves. Which brought up a page devoted to an interesting collection: glass electrical insulators. People with hobbies and collections interest me, they're weird in a cool kind of way, an interest so pervasive that it intrudes into their life. Other sites reinforce my general dislike of crate furniture. Except for Gerrit Rietveld's. --Side note check out this guy's pictures, some are excellent. I've taken over 8,000 pictures and I'm still a little self-conscious when I pull out the camera, this guy takes some good pictures right when they need to be taken.-- This other guy has some nice stuff too, guess that's what you can do when you study furniture design & construction in school.

After much procrastination I've finally started work on the cylindrical laundry basket made out of the bamboo plywood from Timbergrass.  This is the current state, glued up and wrapped in plastic to keep pressure on the joints.   Blueprint.

Newest prototype is ready for finish, however my HVLP spray gun has gone missing.  A tech was in to work on some equipment adjacent to the shop recently.  Coincidence?  We'll never know.

New set of shelves in progress. Final assembly tonight, glue clean up and polyurethane tomorrow.
Ok, a little productivity today. Last night I put the finishing touches on the About Us page on the main site. And I've whipped up a couple sketches of a 50s styled table I drew in Norway. The original design called for a cube on the top, but I like the look of the squat top box. It allows for a wider table top. Just had an idea: two small side by side cubes on the top, mounted on the end. Probably not too useful, but might have some visual appeal. Time to hit the shop! Also, my Scandinavia pictures are online.

Ok, things are prety much back to normal. Don't want it to get too normal though. I want to stay productive and get some stuff done. While in Europe, I came up with a couple good furniture ideas, I'll make some sketches and post them soon.
